this is where you find something out about me.

me, in a nutshell: mama, photo-taker, life laugher-atter, friend, girlfriend, nerd, klutz, adventure-lover.

that’s simple enough.  if you’d like to know more, read on in my posts and/or ask away!  my life is an open book.  seriously.  ask my friends.  maybe you are my friends and are well aware…

meanwhile, there is more “about me” here: https://alanatphotography.wordpress.com/2012/09/21/this-is-a-blog/

me.

i like beer. even if it is in a fancy glass and looks like wine.
i also like wine.

smoking a cigar while drinking port, after riding on a ferry…those things go together well. there was also cheese involved.  pretty sure that’s what’s in my left hand…

this was my 33rd birthday party. at a bowling alley. i made my shirt. no, i did not really smoke while i was pregnant. no, i do not have a real-life cherries tattoo on my boob. no, i never ever ever ever ever ever ever never dress like that. unless it’s a joke. like this.

the demure, softer side. the classic “self-portrait-while-driving”…or maybe i was parked. i don’t know. it was california. sunshine makes me do things.

My friend and I, high school seniors, just recently discovered your page and found it extremely inspiring. We are planning to try something like this with our friends just for the main reason of building each others self esteems and for both projects we are working on that this ties into. What you are doing is incredible and I would really love talking to you more about it sometime!

Thank you so much for your message, Rebecca! That really is one of my missions for the project – to have more and more teenagers participate, build self-esteem and create stronger relationships. Where are you located? I would love to chat with you sometime and see how I can help. Let me know. ❤

I meant to get back to you sooner on this. I had some things happen with a friend that directly relate to this whole topic of teenagers and the struggles you guys face. So, I’d really, really like to see this work out for you guys. I will explain more of that via email. ❤

Hello! I stumbled across your page while searching for mothers and daughters to get involved in suicide prevention, and really like the work you’ve done. I help businesses create charitable strategies, and I’d love to chat with you more about what you’ve done if you’d be open to it? I have a client who is a photographer, and maybe we could learn from your approach!
